Tuition $11,000 per year for full program

Home schooling families may enroll in individual specialty classes on a fee per class basis. For a list of classes, their descriptions, fees and meeting times and dates please click here.

Annual Registration Fee  $600 per year due May 1st.

Materials Fee of $200 is due August 1. This nonrefundable fee covers the materials used in art, music, and general programming. Payment of this fee confirms that your child intends to join the class in the fall.

Field Trips/Supplies Fee of $300 per child is due August 1. Payment of this non-refundable fee covers the yearly costs of classroom furnishings, equipment, transportation expenses, and other capital costs and holds the child’s enrollment.

Tuition Assistance is available based on assessment of the family’s financial need, demonstrated commitment to the child’s education, and the availability of scholarship funds. New applicants to the school may apply for assistance only after the child is accepted by the faculty.

Schedule for Payment of Tuition:
 Plan A: 1 payment—5% discount due August 1.
 Plan B: 2 payments 2% discount (1/2 due August 1; 1/2 due January 15)
 Plan C: 10 payments due the first of each month, August - May

Books Required texts for children included; parents recommended reading optional.

Equipment for hiking, camping, outdoor adventures is additional. Each child is reponsible for his or her own: wet suit, rain suit, fanny pack, bicycle & helmet.

Physical Fitness is a requirement for all Orca Students. Due to the rigorous outdoor curriculum, students must be certified physically fit and be able to participate fully in the activities.

Additional Fees may arise, at parent expense, if tutoring is recommended, external consultations, or special services which the school does not provide. Other expenses include class trips, which vary from year to year, or special events.

Enrollment Procedure:

  1. Complete application and submit with $75 non-refundable application fee.
  2. If space is available, parents will be contacted for an interview and student visit.
  3. Upon acceptance, parents pay Materials Fee to hold child’s place in class.
  4. The enrollment process is complete upon: a) student interview, b) parent-teacher conference, and c) payment of all fees and completion of Enrollment Agreement.

Parental Involvement: Parents are encouraged to participate in student’s learning discoveries both in the classroom and outdoors. Required monthly school gatherings provide the chance for families to meet each other and share the Orca learning experience. 20 hours of volunteer service to the school are required from each family.
