On a summer day there is no playground quite like the beach! We meet Monday through Friday, at a different beach each day, from 9 to 3. We follow a relaxed schedule, allowing plenty of time for each camper to indulge in the activities they find most interesting. Our enthusiastic counselors are ready to help your child with nature crafts, building sandcastles, and exploring tidepools. Camper to counselor ratio is 7 to 1. Children are encouraged to bring wetsuits and bodyboards. We ask parents to provide healthy food and drink. A daypack with extra clothing, towel, hat and sunscreen is a must!

Rob Harrington, director of Orca School and Camp, draws on over 15 years of class teaching at the elementary school level, to help children discover new ways to learn about the ocean and themselves. Raising awareness and sensitivity to our local ecology is a primary mission of both school and camp.

Older children are offered a series of challenges, and training activities including surfing, kayaking, swimming and running. Opportunities for working with the younger campers help build responsibility and the aspect of giving to others. At Orca Camp we attempt daily to build a healthy community of caring, learning and fun-loving human beings of many ages.

Orca Camp offers a Counselor-In-Training Program for High School students. For more information on CIT's please select the link at the bottom of the page.
